Matt Cameron Pearl Jam exit hasn’t slowed him down — the longtime drummer is heading back onstage with a new performance in Seattle.
Cameron has announced a live show with his side project, Is This Real?, which originally started as a tribute to the punk band Wipers. The concert takes place on September 13 at The Triple Door, a well-known Seattle venue.
The bill will also feature Hiro Yamamoto, the original bassist for Soundgarden, who has previously played with Cameron.
Cameron revealed his departure from Pearl Jam in early July, ending a 27-year run with the iconic band. He later clarified that although he’s left the group, he remains “an active musician.”
Both Cameron and Yamamoto will be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in November for their roles in Soundgarden.
