Tye Trujillo signature wah pedal is officially on the way. The son of Metallica bassist Robert Trujillo is teaming up with Morley to launch the TruDrive Wah, set for release on July 1.
Tye describes the new pedal as having “a growly tone that no other pedal has.”
Morley’s Bill Wenzloff shared his excitement about the collaboration:
“We are very proud to be working with Tye to develop this cool new Wah for the next generation of players. Plus, it’s a bonus that this pedal sounds great with guitar as well as bass.”
Tye currently plays bass for Suicidal Tendencies, the band his father once played in, and also fronts his group, OTTTO. He’ll be joining Robert Trujillo on stage this Sunday in Denver, opening for Metallica—a show that also includes Suicidal Tendencies on the bill.
