Metallica’s fall 2026 shows just got a major addition — and it’s one fans of a more intimate live experience won’t want to sleep on.
Beyond their high-profile Sphere residency kicking off in Las Vegas in October, the band has now announced two U.S. dates at Connecticut’s Mohegan Sun Arena on November 19 and 21, celebrating the venue’s 25th anniversary. At 10,000 capacity, Mohegan Sun is a dramatic step down from the scale of most Metallica shows in recent memory — which is exactly the point. Expect a tighter, louder, more in-your-face experience than anything the Sphere production delivers.
The support slots are well-matched to the energy. Suicidal Tendencies open night one on November 19, while Spiritbox — one of the hardest-working and most buzzed-about heavy acts right now — takes the stage before Metallica on November 21.
Presales open Wednesday, April 8 at 10 AM ET. General on-sale follows Friday, April 10 at 10 AM ET.
