Filter Short Bus vinyl reissue is set to arrive on August 15 in celebration of the album’s 30th anniversary. The 1995 debut by Filter will be re-released in five different color variants, and pre-orders are now available.
“So much has changed over the last 30 years,” says frontman Richard Patrick. “I’ve gotten married, had two wonderful children and been around the world many times, but the one constant through it all has been Filter—and it all started with Short Bus.”
Reflecting on the album’s legacy, Patrick adds, “I think back to what a thrill it was writing and recording these songs, and how much fun I still have performing them. To me, this album sounds as fresh and vital as it did when it first came out in 1995.”
Patrick launched Filter and released Short Bus after touring as a guitarist with Nine Inch Nails. The album established the band in the ’90s industrial rock scene, fueled by the success of the breakout single “Hey Man Nice Shot.”
Filter’s most recent release is 2023’s The Algorithm. The band will return to the road this August on tour with Jerry Cantrell of Alice in Chains.
