Nine Inch Nails Tron Ares soundtrack kicks off with “As Alive as You Need Me to Be,” the band’s first new track in five years. Released on July 17, 2025, the single is featured in the newly unveiled Tron: Ares trailer and is now available on all major digital platforms, accompanied by a lyric video.

The upcoming Tron: Ares (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) will be released by Interscope Records on September 19, 2025. It includes 24 tracks composed and performed by Nine Inch Nails, marking a rare instance where the band itself—not just members Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross—takes official credit for a film score. The duo is known for scoring major films like The Social Network and Soul, but Tron: Ares is the first soundtrack to be officially released under the Nine Inch Nails name.

The full soundtrack features a mix of vocal and instrumental pieces, including:

“Init”
“Forked Reality”
“As Alive as You Need Me to Be”
“Echoes”
“This Changes Everything”
“In the Image Of”
“I Know You Can Feel It”
“Permanence”
“Infiltrator”
“100% Expendable”
“Still Remains”
“Who Wants to Live Forever?”
“Building Better Worlds”

“Empathetic Response”
“What Have You Done?”
“A Question of Trust”
“Ghost in the Machine”

The Disney film Tron: Ares, the third entry in the Tron franchise, is set for theatrical release on October 10, 2025. The trailer features Jared Leto in the lead role as a program named Ares, offering the first glimpse into the cyber-futuristic world of the new film and soundtrack.

Meanwhile, Nine Inch Nails are preparing to bring their Peel It Back world tour to North America this August, following a European leg that began in June.
