Muse Teases New Music with Mysterious Clip: Is “Unravelling” Coming Soon?

Matt Bellamy of Muse plays guitar on stage in a leather jacket during a live performance, teasing new music for 2025

Muse teases new music in a cryptic video posted to Facebook this week, hinting at what may be the first look at their next era. The clip features a muffled vocal recording from frontman Matt Bellamy, ending with the word “unravelling” flashing briefly on the screen — possibly the title of an upcoming song.

The post’s caption reads: “Back at it…”, along with a link to join Muse’s official mailing list, adding fuel to fan speculation.

In an earlier interview, bassist Chris Wolstenholme revealed that Muse’s next album is expected in 2026, following up on 2022’s Will of the People. That record included singles like “Won’t Stand Down,” “Compliance,” “You Make Me Feel Like It’s Halloween,” and “Kill or Be Killed.”

While Muse teases new music, they’re also preparing to return to the stage: the band’s European tour launches this Thursday, with a string of festival appearances. Notably, they’ll be filling in for Kings of Leon, whose frontman Caleb Followill is currently sidelined with a foot injury.
