Panic Stricken is a nationwide collective of musicians dedicated to what their founder and frontman, RG, calls “spreading the gospel of Widespread Panic.” Their performances faithfully recreate the band’s legendary catalog, blending energy, joy, and improvisation to create an unforgettable live experience.

The group began in late 2014, with their first performance on March 30, 2015. Since then, they’ve grown from local and regional shows to stages across the country. Their national breakthrough came unexpectedly in August 2021, when they stepped in for Widespread Panic at the Empire Control Room and Garage in Austin, Texas. With frontman John Bell sidelined by COVID-19, Panic Stricken saved the weekend for thousands of fans, delivering a sold-out performance that earned them national recognition.

Today, Panic Stricken’s lineup features talented musicians from across the Southeast, all united by their commitment to honoring Widespread Panic’s music.
