HARDY Spirit Music Group deal marks a significant move in country music, as the hit-making songwriter has sold part of his publishing catalog while also signing an exclusive songwriting agreement with the company.

The agreement gives Spirit Music Group ownership of select works from HARDY’s catalog, including his writer’s share on sixteen No. 1 singles. Notably, the deal excludes “JACK,” the rock radio chart-topper, from his crossover success. Financial details were not disclosed, but the acquisition solidifies Spirit’s stake in some of the most impactful country hits of the past decade.

Alongside the catalog acquisition, HARDY has signed a forward-looking exclusive songwriting deal with Spirit Music Nashville. Under this agreement, Spirit will administer his future compositions, while HARDY continues to maintain a publishing partnership with Relative Music Group.
