The Oasis reunion gig Edinburgh wasn’t just Supersonic — it was seismic.

According to concert promoter Live Nation, Oasis’s show at Murrayfield Stadium registered 261 kilowatts of seismic energy, recorded during the performance of “Cigarettes and Alcohol.”

That mark broke the band’s own record for seismic energy at Murrayfield, which they initially set back in 2009.

Live Nation explained, “The energy detected by the seismic monitoring stations is driven by the movement of the crowd jumping and dancing in time to the music, rather than the volume of the concert, with bigger, more energetic crowds generating a larger signal.”

The concert is part of the highly anticipated Oasis reunion tour, bringing brothers Noel Gallagher and Liam Gallagher back onstage together for the first time since 2009. The tour is set to shake North America beginning August 24 in Toronto.
