Daughtry Syracuse concert surprised fans with an unexpected guest—Anthrax frontman Joey Belladonna. The performance took place during Daughtry’s ongoing U.S. tour and featured a special live cover of Journey’s “Separate Ways (Worlds Apart).”

Chris Daughtry was joined on stage by Belladonna, best known for his work with the metal band Anthrax, to perform the classic rock anthem. “Our special guest was just in Birmingham with the king of metal,” Daughtry wrote, referencing Anthrax’s appearance at Ozzy Osbourne’s farewell concert. “But nobody can resist hopping on a Journey cover.”

Footage of the surprise collaboration is available to view on Daughtry’s official Facebook page.

The band continues to tour across the U.S. alongside Creed. In 2023, Daughtry released a studio version of “Separate Ways” featuring guest vocals from Halestorm’s Lzzy Hale, further highlighting the band’s connection to hard rock icons.
