mon cher lush, the latest single from Denver-based indie electronic artist Meghan Holton, was self-released on June 27, 2025. The track features Best Man and introduces listeners to an emotionally rich, textured sound that reflects Holton’s evolving artistry.
Following the 2023 LP Sweet & Heady and the 2024 Fool EP, Holton continues to shape her signature style ahead of her upcoming six-song project, You Don’t Feel It When You Fall Slow, set for release on September 19, 2025.
On stage, Holton performs alongside her partner and drummer Caitlyn Sullivan, bringing intimate studio work into dynamic live sets. Performance highlights include opening for Soccer Mommy, Cannons, and DeVotchka, selling out the MCA Denver rooftop, and touring throughout the Midwest and Western U.S.
“Lush is about crushing hard—that will-they-won’t-they moment with someone,” Holton explained. “The title is meant to capture all of its meanings: growth and vibrancy, sensory richness, even excess.”
The single also marks Holton’s first collaboration. While Best Man was writing her debut album People Pleaser (released June 20, 2025) in Holton’s basement, Holton sampled vocal textures from Best Man’s song “Look What You Did” to create synth elements. From there, the two co-wrote the track’s chorus and finalized the single.
New music is on the horizon for Holton: singles “nazare” (out August 1) and “wasted love” (out August 22) will lead into the full EP. you don’t feel it when you fall slow explores longing, devotion, and the weight of desire across six tracks—from the intoxication of infatuation (“lush”), to escape (“nazare”), to heartbreak (“wasted love”).
With lush setting the tone, mon cher continues to craft vulnerable, immersive soundscapes that blur the line between indie pop and electronic exploration.
