Rainbow Kitten Surprise Dang single is officially out now, marking the latest release from the genre-blurring indie rock group. The track is accompanied by a new music video, available to watch on YouTube.

“Dang” is the follow-up to February’s single “Espionage” and is featured on the band’s most recent album, Love Hate Music Box, released in 2024.

“When we wrote this, we envisioned tracking it with [producer] Jay Joyce, and it’s pretty legendary that actually came to be,” the band said. “‘Dang’ is loosely based on a performance that drew inspiration from Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist. The song is both an ode to some earlier RKS sounds and also a letter to the fans who have supported us through many iterations of the band.”

The Rainbow Kitten Surprise Dang single blends the emotional resonance of the band’s early work with a polished, cinematic energy. The band continues its U.S. tour starting July 25 in Columbia, Maryland.
