This is a box set of previously unreleased live recordings from Yes’s 1972 (fall) North American tour. There are seven concerts here, and each concert is covered by a pair of CDs. Each pair comes in its own double gatefold with unique artwork. On the inside is printed the location and date of the concert, along with the tracklisting and credits.
Each gatefold and its two CDs are printed with the catalog number “081227956417” followed by the suffix “-n”, where n is a number from 1 to 7, corresponding to the order the concert is listed in the booklet and on the box.
There are multiple physical production issues with this release:
1. The Athens and Knoxville CDs are switched. That is, CDs 9 and 10 contain the audio content of the Knoxville concert, but are labeled as Athens. And CDs 11 and 12 contain the audio content of the Athens concert, but are labelled as Knoxville. The track headers of the two concerts are entered here to reflect the actual content. (This can all be confirmed by ear. At the end of track CD9-1.b, you can hear Jon say “it’s nice to be back in Tennessee.”)
2. The location of the November 1st Ottawa concert (CDs 3 and 4) is printed as “National Arts Centre English Theatre” on the gatefold, but as “Ottawa Civic Centre” on the box, booklet, and website. The latter appears correct by preponderance of the evidence, so it has been entered as such.
3. The artwork copyright date on the back of the box is misprinted as ©2105.
