Known Manufacturing & Labeling Issues (Collector Notes)

This release is known for several documented physical production errors:

1. Athens / Knoxville CD Swap Issue

CDs 9–10 contain the Knoxville concert audio but are labeled as Athens.
CDs 11–12 contain the Athens concert audio but are labeled as Knoxville.

This is confirmed audibly — at the end of CD9-1.b, Jon Anderson can be heard saying, “it’s nice to be back in Tennessee.”

2. Ottawa Venue Misprint

The November 1, 1972 concert location (CDs 3 & 4) is printed as:

  • “National Arts Centre English Theatre” on the gatefold

However, the box, booklet, and official website list:

  • “Ottawa Civic Centre”

The latter is considered correct based on available evidence.

3. Artwork Copyright Misprint

The artwork copyright date on the back of the box is incorrectly printed as ©2105.

Why This Box Set Matters

This collection documents Yes at the height of their Close to the Edge era — a defining period for progressive rock. The Fall 1972 tour featured extended live performances of Siberian Khatru, And You And I, Close To The Edge, and other cornerstone compositions performed with peak intensity and precision.

For collectors, this Rhino EU pressing captures one of the most historically important live runs in the band’s career.
