Mötley Crüe Home Sweet Home Dolly Parton — Rock legends Mötley Crüe have unveiled a new version of their iconic ballad “Home Sweet Home,” this time featuring country star Dolly Parton. In a recent Forbes interview, bassist Nikki Sixx shared that the collaboration held deep personal meaning for Dolly.

“Dolly looked at me and said, ‘I really love these lyrics,’” Sixx recalled. “This was one of her husband’s … favorite songs.” Dolly’s husband, Carl Dean, passed away in March, making the track especially poignant.

Sixx explained that Dolly connected with the spirit of the song, telling him, “When you’re young, you want to get as far away from home as possible. You want to chase those dreams. You want to chase whatever you want to do. And then once you get there, it’s the journey getting back to your roots.”

Moved by her interpretation, Sixx added, “I was like, ‘No one’s ever explained my lyrics to me that clearly.’ That just touched me on so many levels.”

Describing the collaboration as “a career high,” Sixx said working with Dolly Parton brought him joy, especially seeing how fans are embracing the track.

“A song like ‘Home Sweet Home’ can touch a metalhead and it can touch a country person at the same time,” he said. “And that’s something you just don’t know about a song until it’s been around for a while.”

The new rendition of “Home Sweet Home,” featuring Dolly, is part of Mötley Crüe’s upcoming compilation album From the Beginning, set for release on September 12. The album is currently available for preorder.
