Megadeth 40th anniversary box set details have been officially announced, honoring the band’s groundbreaking 1985 debut, Killing Is My Business… and Business Is Good!

Set for release on October 17, the limited-edition box set features the original album pressed on a metallic gold LP, accompanied by collectible memorabilia including a hand-signed lithograph, a patch, a flag, a commemorative coin, and a “metal laser-engraved business card.”

Only 350 sets will be produced, each priced at $350, and preorders are available now.

For fans looking for a more accessible option, the metallic gold vinyl will also be released separately on the same day.

Released in 1985, Killing Is My Business… helped establish Megadeth as a dominant force in the rising thrash metal scene of the 1980s. The band emerged in part from frontman Dave Mustaine’s departure from Metallica in 1983 and went on to become one of thrash’s “Big Four” alongside Metallica, Slayer, and Anthrax.

Megadeth’s most recent studio album is 2022’s The Sick, the Dying… and the Dead! — their 16th overall.
