Jeff Buckley: Live À L’Olympia is officially set for a special 2026 Record Store Day-exclusive vinyl release, documenting his celebrated 1995 Paris concerts at the historic L’Olympia. While the audio from these performances has been available on CD since 2001, this upcoming edition marks the first time the full program has been pressed on vinyl, making it a significant milestone for collectors.
The album is scheduled as an RSD Exclusive title for Record Store Day on April 18, 2026. Consistent with Record Store Day guidelines, the release will be available for in-store-only purchase on that Saturday, with any remaining copies sold through online retailers afterward.
This Legacy Recordings release features a black vinyl pressing. Additionally, a CD edition limited to 3,250 copies is also listed as a featured RSD 2026 item.
The album captures Jeff Buckley and his band over two nights, July 6–7, 1995, during the intensive European tour supporting his debut studio album, Grace. These shows are renowned for capturing Buckley before an especially enthusiastic French crowd. The 2026 edition draws from the same material originally released on CD in 2001 under the same title.
The setlist includes roughly half of the Grace tracklist, providing fans with live versions of favorites such as “Lover, You Should Have Come Over” and “Hallelujah,” alongside other original compositions.
Beyond his own songs, the release highlights an eclectic group of covers that defined his live sets:
A standout feature of this edition is the inclusion of a live performance with Azeri vocalist Alim Qasimov. This recording, a competitive Qawwali-style vocal duet, was captured at a sacred music festival in France during the same 1995 tour.
