A Stage for Local Talent

Beyond education, Butterscotch Studios also serves as a live music venue in Longmont. Their cozy “Living Room Sets” bring audiences close to performers, while backyard happy hour shows create a relaxed, social setting. The studio also hosts a recurring open mic night featuring local artist Antonio Lopez, providing a welcoming stage for emerging performers.

Art, Events, and More

True to its identity as a collective, Butterscotch Studios also supports visual arts. The space doubles as an art gallery featuring local artists, with pieces available for purchase. Event and rehearsal rentals are available, making it a flexible creative space in Longmont.

Commitment to Inclusivity

At its core, Butterscotch Studios Longmont is about inclusivity. The studio regularly organizes programming that uplifts marginalized voices, such as the “Pen and Power” writing workshop and community poetry open mics.

The collective was co-founded by Laura Stratton (piano, guitar, ukulele instructor) and Sam Mallouf (art instructor), along with a dedicated team of educators passionate about creating a safe and inspiring space for the Longmont community.
